Running is one of the best exercises there is to do. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that do not like it. There are a lot of reasons, but there are a few common ones that include running being too hard, or that it is too boring and that people just don't like it.

If you happen to be one of these people, you should really think about other ways to burn calories and exercise such as with walking or hiking, swimming or even riding a bike every day. These are great alternatives to running, and they are effective exercises in their own right.

No matter what your choice is, remember that you need at least thirty minutes of exercise a day, three times a week. So, even if you are just riding the bike to work a couple days a week, it counts.

A lot of people think that they need to work out hard, and burn a thousand calories every time they get into their gym clothes. This is not at all true, and in fact, just a little bit of steady exercise will be good for the body and has health benefits.

Once you learn how you can get exercise from doing lots of different things, find the workout routine that will keep you interested and having fun. If you like to swim, then go sign up to do laps at the local pool. You'll be burning calories while you do something that you enjoy.

If you like the outdoors, and going on nature hikes, you will be delighted to know that you can burn lots of calories while loosing a lot of weight while developing your leg muscles.

Bikes offer great workouts on par with hiking, and the only thing you need to remember is that instead of just bringing yourself, you will have a bike with you everywhere you are.

So you can see, there are no more reasons for excuses, and anyone can find ways to exercise and stay healthy. All you need is a good attitude and then get up and go out and just do it.
